Fluoropolymers (PVDF, PCTFE, PTrFE...) are fascinating materials but the control of the polymerization of fluoromonomers is difficult and has been scarcely reported. This aspect of my research deals with the development of polymerization techniques which can efficiently afford well-defined functional fluoropolymers architectures(block, hyperbranched, graft...). Reversible Deactivation Radical Polymerization (RAFT, ITP) and Organometallic Mediated Radical Polymerization are investigated
- Self-assembly of fluoropolymers architectures/ Polymerization in dispersed media
I am also interested in the self-assembly in bulk or in selective solvents of fluorinated polymers such as amphiphilic block copolymers. Polymerization in dispersed media and methodologies such as Polymerization-Induced Self-assembly are examined
- Electroactivity of fluoropolymers
Fluoropolymers exhibit outstanding electroactive properties (ferro- and piezoelectricity). I am investigating the effect of the polymers structure and composition on their electroactivity as well as their combination with ferroelectric ceramicsedit...
